D$
D$’s journey into hip-hop began in the late '90s, when he started crafting parodies of popular alt-rock songs. But it was a pivotal encounter in 2000 with his mentor, Abacuz, that truly sparked his passion for rap. Under Abacuz's guidance, D$ adopted the moniker Endangered Logik and began honing his skills in rhyme structure and beat production, working with early tools like Cool Edit Pro and Fruity Loops.
Over the years, D$ became involved in collaborative projects and groups such as Tryp~Wyre, Acadia Manor, and Untitled Poetry. Despite these creative ventures, he faced personal and professional setbacks—including periods of self-doubt that led him to step away from music entirely in 2010.
A wrongful termination from a security job years later became the catalyst for his return to music. That moment of adversity reignited his passion and led him to write his first song in over a decade. This creative resurgence birthed two EPs, Today's Yesterday and Yesterday’s Tomorrow, followed by the full-length LP For the Record and a string of EPs that solidified his return to the craft.
Drawing inspiration from legends like 2Pac and Will Smith, D$ has cultivated a distinctive style grounded in personal storytelling, cultural identity, and lyrical authenticity. His work is a reflection of his lived experiences and the resilience that has defined his artistic path.
With several EPs and two professionally mastered LPs—For the Record and In Business—already released, and a Greatest Hits project on the horizon, D$ continues to evolve and share his unique voice with a growing audience.
It's a killer album featuring all my favorite artists, hosted by D$ and with awesome beats by P$. What else could possibly top that this year? That's right, nothing!
